He heard shots and ran toward the commotion. The shooter was being restrained by others. Another bystanders had control of the firearm by that time. The slide was locked back on an empty mag. CCW holder took his gun off safety as he approached. He thought the bystander holding the empty pistol was the shooter, but when he saw the slide locked back he determined he did not need to draw his gun. He tried to restrain the guy holding the pistol until other bystanders corrected him and pointed to Laughner on the ground as the shooter. CCW holder assisted in restraining Laughner. I'm glad he didn't end up shooting the bystander. |
