I had two meetings this week with the IRS in the local Federal Building. I left my office for the first meeting and had to double back because I realized I had a loaded magazine of 9mm in my briefcase. No gun, but a loaded mag, and I figured that might not be good.
So, I head over to the Federal Building and encounter their security. All metal goes in the tray on the belt and through the scanner. You go through the metal detector, which seems to go off every time, and then get a complete wand-job. The wand seemed to go off on everything. I have my share of hardware in me from orthopaedic repairs, etc. but they have only gone off in scanners once before. The whole thing ended with me having to pull my pants up over my socks. Weird....... Thank God I remembered that mag in my briefcase ! |
