he started looking down instead of just putting his feet up and riding up the ramp. rookie mistake. not like there wasn't a wide enough ramp? ![]() +1 If he had just treated it as a hill and twisted the throttle a bit more, as well as put his feet on the pegs, he would have made it. |

Riding skill I'd expect from a RUB. This. That motherfucker must fall over every time he has to stop on a hill. More proof....All the Charity rides I have done, I always watch all the HOG riders put their feet down starting at about 15 MPH. And they don't pick them back up until over 15 again, like their legs are going to keep all that mass from falling over. I pride myself on being able to keep my feet on the pegs in stop and go, until I have to put them down. Not so hard once you figure out how to actually balance a slow moving bike...but some folks just don't care as long as they look and "sound" cool. |

Riding skill I'd expect from a RUB. Yeah...A poor RUB at that (wasn't a Harley). It's honestly really easy to load a bike into a U-Haul with their ramps...Coming down backwards is a different story (not wide enough to put feet down)...but riding up? That's...well...easy. And quick. Guy must've had an hour of riding experience...tops. Quoted:

I'll attend group functions––but I prefer to ride alone, or with a select few friends who've proven their skill. |
| Back when I had a sport bike I would use a 2x10 ramp that I had made and ride it into the bed of my truck. My truck is a Dodge Dakota so it sits a little lower but his ramp was 5 times bigger and he didn't have to stop as soon as he got to the top of the ramp like I did with the truck bed. He should have gunned it, looked into the truck, and kept on going. The worst thing to do on a ramp is try to stop. |

Folks who couldn't handle a scoot at slow speeds to save their lives chrome... you'd see 'em "walking up" to red lights. ![]() FWIW I've seen squids sportbikers who suffer the same disorder. |

Walk it up, don't ride it. Retard. I've loaded sportbikes many times on my ramp that's quite a bit narrower than that. exactly. i would always start it up and then walk it up in first gear, on hand on throttle/brake, one on clutch. if i killed it walking up, i simply hold brake, hold in clutch and restart and continue to walk it up. |

Damn. My pops and I loaded a sportbike into a pickup using a length of 2x8. Was pretty easy (granted it probably weighed 2/3 what that bike weighs, but I didn't have 5 guys with me) I've loaded and unloaded the same bike on the same pickup alone, but backed it up against a hill in my yard so the tailgate was flush with the ground and just coasted it in. |
