ammo?

For basic range work and practice, I use Federal American Eagle and PMC Bronze. Both are brass cased and good quality. I also use Silver Bear, which is Russian steel cased. Also good stuff.

VG, check out the AR15 forum here, inside there is a subforum for ammunition with a lot of great info on which ammo suits your needs best.

Just remember, a .223/5.56 is a straight cased cartrige. This means if you shoot steel cased ammo first, be sure to brush your chamber before transitioning to brass.
Stuck cases are a bitch sometimes. Ask me how I know.

You've been a member of a goddamn forum called 'ar15.com' for two years and you can't figure out the fucking answer? Seriously?

You can't go wrong with M193, and it's getting cheaper all the time. Ferderal, or Prvi Partisan.
I buy it in bulk from Palmetto State or AIM usually.
PMC has never given me any problem, either.

I went through a few cases of Centurion .223 when it was cheaper than M193, and it was good range ammo.

First know what your rifle is chambered for, 5.56mm will shoot .223rem but the reverse isn't recommended.

I use (5.56mm) XM193 almost exclusively.

i bought the armalite m15 a4 carbine upper and got a delton lower.  the price was right on both and got good feedback from friends on both brands.  Ill probably be swapping parts to whatever whim the xperts say is tha bomb until I find my ultimate rifle but it's a start.

lol thanks. I browse the tech forums but don't look much into things I dont own and 7.62x39 rifles don't really need a lot of tech. just pull trigger .   I look forward to all the expensive and complicated bullshit I have gotten myself into with the AR platform.
