The wife made chili for lunch today.

She put beans in it.

Funeral is Tuesday, so by Thursday...

You're lucky you have a woman who cares enough to put beans in it.

Your wife cooked you food and you are complaining?

Just think of all the people on arfcom who have to make their own chili and be happy you ingrate.

Craigslist has an "interesting" selection of possible dates for the funeral.

ETA:
A story my mother has related to me -
Early in my parents' marriage, my mother made coffee cake.
Following the recipe, she added the measured amount of coffee.

What the recipe did not specify was weather or not to use brewed coffee or use coffee grounds. Yea, you guessed it!

Me father said it was a bit tough to eat, though he did, and still said "Thank You".

Well, she didn't actually COOK it.  Made it from a mix.
Still it would have been OK except for the beans
And, there was no cornbread.

So.... you asked for Chili, but what you really wanted was spicy meat sauce?  I'd say communication failure on your part.  Your wife done good.

Yea, those Floridians re-located east-coasters sure know all there is to know about chili!

I wouldn't be that upset.  You guys do your best to fuck up cornbread, too.

I think shooting your wife for putting beans in chili is a justifiable shooting in Texas. You have nothing to worry about.

I didn't know how to approach this one girl, so I pretended my arm was broke and asked her to help load a sofa in my van.
