(AP) Iraqi authorities have obtained confessions from captured insurgents who claim al Qaeda is planning suicide attacks in the United States and Europe during the Christmas season, two senior officials said Wednesday.
Iraqi Interior Minister Jawad al-Bolani told The Associated Press that the botched bombing in central Stockholm last weekend was among the alleged plots the insurgents revealed. They've been attacking us for a decade now.
Under the Bush administration, we ferreted these guys out before they even came close to executing their plans, checked them into "the hotel" and they weren't heard from again. For the past 2 years they manage to execute their attacks but thankfully flub it up along the way...or someone rats them out and then we go and arrest them. |
