Billings man questioned after shooting car roof, buttocks
Posted: Dec 15, 2010 3:48 PM by Angela Douglas (Billings)

The Billings Police Department is trying to figure out what caused a Billings man to shoot one round of his pistol through the roof of his car and one round through his buttocks.

The BPD, along with Yellowstone County sheriff deputies, responded to Lake Elmo Mobile Court at 833 Lake Elmo Drive Wednesday afternoon after someone reported seeing a man driving with a gun at the intersection of Lake Elmo and Main Street.

By the time authorities located the vehicle, the shooting had occurred and the 35-year-old male suspect and his female passenger were inside a mobile home.

Sgt. Dave Cardillo says the man was driving the car and it appears he was also the one who fired the gun.

The cause of the shooting is unknown.

The female passenger has been cooperating with authorities and is in questioning with the BPD.

Sgt. Cardillo says the man was uncooperative, but conscious when he was taken to St. Vincent Healthcare with non-life threatening injuries.

Not quite sure where to start on this one.

Scratched butt, shot self. Used gun barrel, scratching head in confusion at ass wound. Subsequent second discharge into roof. Even more confusion follows.

Um... it's Billings?

Seriously though, I'm guessing idiot has gun out in traffic, girlfriend decides this is not smart, tries to talk him into putting gun away, he politely declines, struggle ensues with round going through roof, then round through butt.  End of struggle.
