I know NOTHING about them, but my wife and daughter want one.Maybe Santa will bring one!Is a Wii a Wii or are there different versions/models????Any help recomendations would be GREAT! |

My family has wanted one for a few years but I refuse due to the fact that everyone else who owns one plays it for a few months and then becomes bored with it and from then on it's hardly used.
Waste of money IMO. Once you get over the "motion" stuff it's just a boring console. |

A Wii is a Wii is a Wii. They come in different colors and there might be different game bundles available with them now, but there's only one version of the hardware. Thanks,i didn't want to get one and it be the POS version! You never know with things today.Best place to buy one price wise? |

Fun for a little bit, but none of the games are really worth replaying. Might be worth it if you look into homebrew stuff for it This. It got old real quick, but after downloading like 3000 games, it is very entertaining. http://hbc.hackmii.com/ |
| I love mine. The sports/resort games are all kinds of fun. The Netflix app is killer. Get a zapper and used copy of CoD 5. Get the Cabela's hunting game. Get a HoTD title and a nyco handgun cradle. Order pizza. Buy another wii for the wife and offspring units. |

No real recommendations with the exception of the Guitar Hero or Rock Band games. The entire extended family had a blast playing them over Thanksgiving. If you have Netflix, it is pretty cool streaming their movies with your Wii. We're getting a Wii this Christmas in part for the kids and in part for streaming Netflix for my wife and me. |
| To me the wii is the game system for kids and the non-hard core gamer. I don't have a million hours to play and get good at the complex games on my PS3, so it and the hundreds of dollars worth of games, never get touched. The wii gets played with all the time by my kids and it's so simple to play, I can sit down and immediately start playing right along. |

Xbox 360 w/Kinect absolutely slaughters the Wii! So much so, the wife want's me to see her Wii w/ Wii Fit because she has no desire to use it since getting the Kinect with Active 2. If you really want a Wii, maybe I can help you out? |

I read an article a while back commenting on my Wii sales have taken a nose dive. The obvious answer, and their answer was that everyone already owns one now, that's how many of those things were sold. I can honestly say out of all my good friends, I don't know anyone that doesn't own one. Mario Kart, Mario Bros. and all the classic NES and SNES, including a lot of N64 games on the wii market place make it worth it in my opinion. That being said we haven't played ours in a while. |

Make sure you get the new model with the Wii Remote Plus.... that way you dont have to use dongles. (and additional remotes should be wii remote pluses) |

The Wii is a lot of fun, good for everyone to play with. It is NOT a hardcore gamer machine, then again, Nintendo has never tried to fill that market. Should be great for the wife and kid and you... Just be careful, almost murdered myself with Wii bowling when my sister first got her machine. All was great, played Wii bowling all Xmas night, when I woke up the next day though? I couldn't even move my arm, it was destroyed. -V |

Wii is awsome, my younger brothers have one.
They downloaded the Super Smash Bros for the N64 and that is my favorite to play. Mario Kart is a blast. Wish I could have said the same for the new Mario Party's. Love the first MP, but the ones after 5 or so have been boring. |
