Do you enlisted guys salute officers if you pass them in the grocery store or at a gas station or night club?
Is there ever a time during active service you are not in some type of uniform? |

I saluted at VBC this last tour. You could always tell the people not from around there because they got pissed off when you saluted. We had to salute on VBC/Taji/IZ in '05-'06.  Way before my time. I was there begining 2010 right whe they changed it to New Dawn. |

I was there begining 2010 right whe they changed it to New Dawn. There was a female Captain on VBC that got verbally abused by a General one day. One of our E5s was going to the DFAC and the Cpt. looked away as she walked by so she didn't have to salute. The General was behind the E5, who saluted to the Cpt. but didn't get one in return......you would have thought the S was H'ing TF the way the General went off on her and about military customs and to have enough respect to follow a salute.
