So I'm running windows 7, and this is the second day in a row that the taskbar is just gone. I still have the windows/start button, but nothing where the taskbar should be. Both yesterday and today I noticed it after coming back to my computer after it being on all night. Yesterday at some point it came back, but I can't remember when, and didn't do anything special to do it. I can alt-tab to get to different windows, but if I minimize something, it makes the little animation like it's minimizing to the taskbar, but then I can't see it. It's not auto-hidden or anything, and if I right click where it should be it gives me the options the same as if I right clicked on my desktop. Anybody know what the deal is? Here's a screenshot: Bonus points if anyone can identify my background from just that little slice right there. |

Quoted: Facebook? It's a beta of a browser called Rockmelt, it integrates facebook and twitter right into your browser. I have some invites, if you want one, IM me. And I don't think I need to do a system restore, it randomly fixed itself again, just wondering what could be doing this. The only thing I've installed recently is the Larue screensaver. |

Does it happen when coming out of that refreshes the screen (like exiting a game) or just at random while you're browsing it disappears? |

It has only happened after leaving the computer alone for a long period of time (~8 hours). I don't think that's the issue, I'm running it on my laptop too, with no problems there. |

What ATI card do you have? |
