As an alternative to all of the threads about the TSA, I would like to revive an old but prolifically discussed subject.

The Hurt Locker.

I liked it.

It was (and I'm sorry to counter your opinion, my friend) a piece of shit, liberal propaganda message.

just curious why you feel this way?

I'm not former/current military but thought it was just a pretty good action/drama type movie and I didn't really perceive any anti-war message.

OK OK. You got me. I didn't really like it, I was just trying to start some shit so I didn't have to read about the TSA anymore.

Seriously, who lets the EOD guys just run off into Baghdad?

I had no problems with it...good flick.

Course I don't read into every single fucking sentence spoke and action taken...I just enjoy the movie.

I did too.

People seem to want any movie based on the Iraq war to be some kind of documentary or some shit.

I was entertained. Of course, I know dick about .mil procedure and standards...so I didn't see it from that POV.

Sorry, I'm converting to a TSA thread.

Hey, did you hear the TSA is going to be charged with assault in Californian?

11/17/2010 5:44:19 PM EDT

It was an entertaining movie, some good action and the lead actor did a decent job. It was extremely disingenuous for the producers to promote it as an accurate depiction of the war, when in fact, it was no different than Die Hard or Rambo.

This was hollywood's (or was is Hollis T Wood's) version of the a war. I'm sorry someone with or without the experience of shooting a Barrett
at 850 yards and hit a running target...give me a break. And don't get me started on wiping blood off the ammo...

It was horrible.  HORRIBLE!  The blood on the .50 rounds was the stupidest bit of cinema I think I've ever seen.  Was that supposed to be "touching?"

It ranks right up there with Casualties of War and The Thin Red Line as one of the worst war movies ever made.
