If you've made 14,402.72 so far this year and they have taken out 832.74 in Fed withholding should you get that back at the end of the year or would you owe?

Single/married?

Dependents?

I think there are some free, simple on-line tax programs you could plug the numbers into.

If I had to bet, I'd say you're due a refund, but don't take that to the bank.

At that kind of income, chances of you owing are slim. A lot of it depends on who does the book keeping at the company which seems to have become a joke at most companies in recent years.

I know droves of tradesmen who have gotten screwed because the boss would withold the taxes on the checks and send a different number on the w2. Happens all the time.

If you're single, expect to get the majority of it back. off the top of my head, probably 700 or more.
