OK, so one of the "Mine's bigger than yours" metrics around here is post count. Mine's a reasonably respectable 5987, which shows that yeah, I've been here and done that, but not so many that I labelled as "living in momma's basement posting on ARFCOM all day, eating cheetos, wishing I had a girlfriend more attractive than Ms. Right(hand)".
I've been thinking that a better way to measure one's ARFCOM status would be to have a "quote count" in addition to (or in place of) the post count. After all, if everyone's quoting your posts, you must be saying something intelligent, witty, informative, or all three. Now, I have no idea what would be involved in creating a quote count, but surely the Crays goatboy's got stashed away in HIS basement could crack that number in no time flat. What say ye? |
