| To be an active member on two fire departments at one time? I am currently a volunteer ff/ems responder in my county which is 3 hours away from college and I go home every 2 weeks. Just curious as if I could join the local department and still be on my home department also? |

It depends. In a previous life I was a volunteer and a seasonal firefighter. Then the rules changed and I was no longer allowed to be a volunteer if I was paid elsewhere. Then I was hired full time with a municipal department who allowed me to also volunteer with the county fire dept. But they changed their rules and...you get my drift, right? |

Well the thing is both departments are small and rural so I figure each pry has less that 10 total people. On a good day 7 will respond. So thats roughly 3 trucks out. But more like 4 volunteer and 2 trucks. |
