I wake up in the morning hold my hands and pray for rain. I got a head full of ideas that are driving me insane. It's a shame the way she makes me scrub the floor. I ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more . ![]() |
One of many artists that the hive mind told me it is wrong to like.

See, I hear you saying "Bob Dylan" but I know that you really mean "Jimi Hendrix."

As a song writer he excelled.

Bob Dylan. Quite possibly the WORST "musician" ever to make it big... him and Johnny Cash Their duet of Girl from the North Country Is one of my favorite songs of all time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntU_FNDVhJs&feature=related |

Quoted: I like Bob only because he refused to play Woodstock. He didn't like hippies was his reason. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/19/bob-dylan-interview-revea_n_188782.html Anyone that's seen him interviewed know he's usually one step ahead of the interviewer. He also went electric and pissed off his folky fans.....right when folk music was at it's zenith in the business. To those who hate his "singing", Jesus, his voice is very bit as good as Mick Jagger's. ....give him a break,....he actually writes the words and probably most of the music. |

Visions of Johanna It's long but very worth listening to. An example of what I was talking about, Jerry just pours out him some Dylan! |

I don't care about his politic views. I really ENJOY his music, and voice.. Actually, I like the fact that he never sing a song twice the same, and I even like when he is wrong... THIS is a masterpiece for me ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eUaTBO_-k4A&ob=av2n yes really. he sounds bad half the time, but I love it ! |

I kinda like him in Sam Pekinpah "Billy the Kid and Pat Garett" ... you can clearly see that he's not much more of a good actor than he is of a good singer.. still a Genious artist though ! |

You must leave now, take what you need, you think will last
But whatever you wish to keep, you better grab it fast Yonder stands your orphan with his gun Crying like a fire in the sun Look out the saints are comin’ through And it’s all over now, Baby Blue Some Dylan is great, some is awful. It sad that no one like him will ever be allowed to make music again. Only people like Lady Gaga. |

I was named after him, literally... I have a copy of Blood on the Tracks (on tape) sitting in the desk drawer next to me as I type, that once belonged to my father.
I didn't listen to any Dylan for years, except for whenever one of the handful of songs in rotation on the radio was being beaten to death. After getting some tapes from my fathers 'estate', I found myself listening again. There are few pieces of poetry that effect me any more deeply than "Tangled up in blue." The Good Lord may not have blessed Robert Zimmerman with much of a singing voice, but he sure meted out extra portions of soul... |
