| The wife seems to get lost all the time. Which GPS maker and model do you recommend? |
|
This is the one I am going to get for my wife when it comes out in the next couple of months. She will be able to speak the address into it.
It is made by Garmin. he voice-activated widescreen nüvi 2360LMT comes with free lifetime traffic and maps for the U.S., Canada and Mexico. It has a dual-orientation screen that displays vertically or horizontally, a 3-axis electronic compass and 3-D building and terrain view. The 2360LMT includes hands-free calling, lane assist with junction view¹, trafficTrends™ historical traffic, myTrends™ predictive routing, and ecoRoute™. Pedestrian capabilities can be enhanced with optional cityXplorer™ maps for mass transit information. |
| I have a TomTom Go720. It's a great unit, when it's working. Every few months it seems to go dormant for a while and refuses to power up. Various reset procedures have no effect. I wait a few days, and eventually I hit the switch and the thing powers up and works perfectly again. I'll probably replace it with a Garmin soon. |

i deliver pizza and just bought a new Tom Tom xxl 340 M.the 340 M comes with life time map updates. out the door was $171. to get lifetime updates on a garmin you have to spend $50 more on a nuvi 1300. and the tom tom is the FASTEST gps I've used. it can calculate a route in less than 3 seconds. it can re calculate a route in less than 10. very easy to use and is very fast entering in the address (no lag). and its very accurate when showing the destination. when it says "you've reached the destination" you are either right in front the house or 1 house away. |

Sorry.
