| My mother is watching my dogs while I am in Okinawa and last night she took them for ther walk and a little yappy dog showed up and had little man syndrome and my youngest (GSD Husky X) with ont swift chomp killed the little dog. From my stand point not my dogs problem, he was on a leash and the other one was at large. Leash laws are in affect as well as the HOA rules reguarding dogs but of course my mother is a little freaked out abought legal action due to an irresponsible dog owner. Any thoughts from the hive? |

I guess your okay, but what happens when it's a toddler?
Kind of sad for the little guy's owners maybe he slipped off the leash or their 5 year old let him out. You may also want to check your state laws not HOA rules as to whether or not there will be legal ramifications. Also my two cents, I socialize my dogs, even the trained GSD who works in the shop with me would never ever do this without my explicit direction. Your dog needs better training and your Mom probably isn't the right keeper for this animal. Wtf? by the way is "little man syndrome"? Do you hate little people? |

While you probably will be OK legally, I would worry about a civil response from the little dog owner. And get your dog a bit more socialized. My boxer has little dogs try to attack him all the time and he has never gotten aggressive (has with big dogs though). Huskies are known to be more alpha than others, though. |
| I got to talke to her on the phone to find out more of the details. There were two (three one did not decide to join) of the little dogs and they both charged, my mother did what she could untill one of the dogs jumped on to my dogs head and chomp. The owner of the little dogs come running over yelling I sorry its my fault its my fault. This was a attack, the little dogs came not to say hi, exposed teeth hair raised. |
