So I bought a pack of chicken legs and opened them when I got home. They were smelling a little rank. I checked the package and the sell by date was the following day. So I threw the whole package into the crock and made chicken soup. So now I've still got the smell in my nose and the soup turned out so-so.

So be honest. How long do I have?

Chicken Sushi.
It will kill you if you are lucky. More likely you will wish yourself dead.

Well, if you ate the soup more than an hour ago, and your not running back and forth to the shitter; your fine!!

If it don't smell good, don't eat it.

If it smells off, why take a chance? You might kill the bacteria but the toxins they have produced don't go anywhere.

The sniff test works pretty good, too bad you flunked it.

If it smells bad it gets thrown out. Ptomaine poisoning is no fun, once is enough to not want to ever have a repeat performance.

One time I told my wife a piece of chicken was smelling bad, and she said it was still okay.  Next time I will let her eat it.

I don't know why, but that sounds scary and disgusting.

Dibs on armor, commo, optics, nylon and survival supplies - except that dehydrated chicken in the back of the fridge.
