Apparently Herman Cain is giving "prayerful consideration" to running for Pres in 2012. I've only heard him from time to time while filling in for Boortz. What's the hive's take on him? |

I would vote for him. Not because he is black and I have some kind of retarded guilt for what some other people did centuries ago. He is a businessman who turned a failing business around and has true conservative ideas and principles. He may not have ever been a university professor but he is one of the most intelligent and well spoken individuals I have heard in a long time. |

Used to be my neighbor. Seemed like a nice guy, very conservative. Used to run a moderately sized business (Godfathers' Pizza IIRC). |
| He didn't do so hot in the Senate primaries back in '04. Unlikely to run or gain sufficient momentum. Running a black male against Obama would backfire, as it would just be seen as a move to copy him. We wouldn't gain many black votes and the perception would turn away many moderates. |
| I have got to talk to him a number of times , and he is truely a sharp and intelligent conservative individual. He has gained a lot of support from the tea party people here in WI that have heard him speak at tea parties and at other events, and I believe that he will gain alot of traction from within the tea party ranks as we move forward towards 2012. |
