They are at it again; our town is full of PETA protesters. Marching up and the streets with their signs, and screaming ban the pup mills! My dad said they block 772, so they could march holding their signs. when they went past our store; choice words where coming to mind, then I burst out laughing. PETA had a rally in the town I went to collage in my sophomore year, the guy I was working for had a porch area on the front of the shop so he bought us all hamburgers, steaks and beers and gave us all the day off after lunch. We all stood out front drinking beers and eating half raw meat listening to Ted Nugent while the rally was going on across the street. By the time their rally was over there were more hippies yelling shit at us than at the meat packing plant across the street. He just smiled put more burgers on and sent his wife for more beer. It was one of the great moments in my working career.

Story I always tell when PETA comes up.
There is a town down the road named Slaughterville. One year PETA shows up and 'campaigns' for the townsfolk to change their name. Thing is, Slaughterville was simple named after the family that found it. Their last name was Slaughter. PETA still didn't care. The town (around a 100+) called a meeting and took a vote. Unanimously voted to leave it how it is and went about their business. I remember seeing it on the news. Think the entire meeting lasted like 5-10 minutes. Funny stuff. |

The actual statistic is far worse than that, last year out of the tens of thousands of animals they took in only 10-20 of them were not killed.

This is true. I know of some puppy mills that are the worst you could think of. But most of them are very very clean for the simple reason. Pet stores are not the ones coming to buy puppy any more drug research company are!! I do not like that at all we have 7 dachshunds in the family. PETA is still the worst group of people we have come to this town. They leave the town park in a wreck, they do not clean up anything, food trash, used drink cup everywhere. I do not know why are township grants them the permits to be there. |
