| Last month or so. Every evening I hear their thunderous roar over the house and we are right in SLC, east side. The test ranges are due west of the base, and we are 30 min at least north of the base. Why over a major city? Do they just change patterns randomly or fly over cities at 11 pm with no reasons? |

Isn't there an ANG unit based out of the SLC airport? Otherwise, your post doesn't make sense - if you're in SLC, you're south of Hill AFB...? |

Yes, we are SOUTH of Hill. No idea about the ANG but this is recent. F-16s. I saw and listened to them for months when I wired a Ernst in Layton and you get to know their sound. |

IIRC there is an ANG unit at SLC INT but I think it is tankers and transports, not fighters. They have been running training ops for the last month or so. Many types of aircraft: A-10's F-22's, F-15's and even some F/A-18's I think... not to mention the F-16's. |

Never lived by any AFB so never got used to the regular roar. Usually very quiet here so they stand out. Just drinkin messican coke. |
