I was listening to a radio show that was interviewing an FBI agent that was very close to the JFK assasination, He was giving an eye witness account of what weapon he saw the SS bring out of the book depository. He elaborated that in those days he was a gun nut and immediatly recognized it as a Mauser. Later the gun changed into an Italian whatever carbine. When he asked about that he was reassigned. This gentleman went on to say that there are pictures taken by bystanders of the mauser floating around on the internet. I had never heard this before it sounds very odd to me, has anyone here ever seen the Mauser pictures?

The bullet(s) from Kennedy's and Connolly's wounds matched the Carcano that they found in the warehouse and which Oswald bought by mail order.  There is no doubt about that. What is doubtful is the memory of most of the people involved back then.

No bullets were found in Kennedy or Connally. Kennedy's brain might have had some residue, but disappeared.

The first guy who saw the rifle in the Book Depository (Seymor Weitzman) said that he saw the rifle "behind some boxes" on the sixth floor of the building.  The rifle was recovered by the police from behind those boxes.

You people crack me up.

No allegation, they found "a" weapon near the door. NOT near the window, amongst those boxes. If any thing, the photo is a misrepresentation of the facts for the masses.

You're talking about retired SA Don Adams, who was in Georgia investigating one Joseph Milteer on 22 Nov 63. He was not in Dealey Plaza, but riding in a car with a fellow agent in Georgia when another motorist pulled alongside and asked if they had heard of the president's death. The Mauser/Carcano business referred to photos seen some time  later.

Mr. WEITZMAN - That is correct, Boone and I, and as he was looking over the rear section of the building, I would say the northwest corner, I was on the floor looking under the flat at the same time he was looking on the top side and we saw the gun, I would say, simultaneously and I said, "There it is" and he started hollering, "We got it." It was covered with boxes. It was well protected as far as the naked eye because I would venture to say eight or nine of us stumbled over that gun a couple times before we thoroughly searched the building.

Important section is marked in red.

Weitzman testified that this is the location where he found the rifle.  Notice the door/window in the back of the photo.

If anything, you are assuming the pictures from them recovering the rifle took place near the window, when you can't assume that from just looking at the pictures.

Ok, so?   All those pictures show is a Carcano rifle, a door or window-like opening and some boxes, all of which correlate to the sworn statement of the guy who found the rifle, plus the pictures he swore depicted the location where he found the rifle, plus the pictures taken at the time the rifle was recovered.  At what point did anyone say anything about the rifle being recovered in the Southeast part of the room?

I have the greatest respect for my dad who passed a few years ago.  One day, I said "Dad, I never asked you.  Who killed Kennedy?"  His response was "Who cares?"  So who cares today?  What is that person who cares going to do 50 years later?

In fact, the one guy that I believe knew (and he was in the know, if anyone) died about 5 years ago in Las Vegas - and he would never have said.  So who cares?

Same here. Adams actually played an investigative role in the case, unlike Posner, Bugliosi, or the Warren Commission, all of which started (and finished) with the assumption that "Oswald did it".

The fact that enough people "didn't care" about the public execution of an elected president speaks volumes about the situation in which we find ourselves today. We let that one go and the barn doors were wide open for all manner of chicanery. The descendants of the guys who gave us the Zapruder film just stole untold trillions from us and our descendants...who cares, right?

Because the thought that a Communist-sympathizing, Fidel-Castro-loving ex-Marine with a scoped rifle shot the Presiden (a President who was well known for standing up to Communism) at a range of under 200yds, is so absolutely unbelievable, right?
