| What do I do if I got an unfair warning from one of posts. I thought it was completely innocent and the mod really over reacted. Is there anything or anyone I can talk to? |

Or drop it/ignore it. I got my peepee slapped back when I first signed up for something that was completely sarcastic and innocent. I could have raised a big old stink and tried to vindicate myself, but really, what's the point? Mods dole out warnings to people all day long around here. It's not a reflection on you as a person, and it's not going on your permanent record to keep you from getting into a good college or anything. |

It's their site to run the way they want to. Just don't do whatever you did again. Or tell us what the post was about and we'll decide if you went over the line. |

I was locked once and almost perma-banned because I was tired and poorly communicated what I was thinking. I made a sarcastic comment that was taken way out of the spirit of what I was trying to say....after a few emails back and forth I was unlocked, but frankly I'm not sure the site staff in question really ever saw it my way....and regardless, that incident is on my permanent record here....which kinda pisses me off because I think I've been a decent contributor over the years. I completely never meant what the mod thought I meant, but when it came right down to it, it was my word against his.
Thankfully (for me) he had an open mind and heard me out.....gave me a pass. Still, it sucks that site staff would think (and document) that I broke the rules....because in my mind, I didnt even come close to the COC much less go over the line. My advice...let it go...stay under the radar....and just contribute. Bottom line....if you get a lot of warnings / locks, there is probably a reason. If you get one or two warnings over a decade, I think that speaks for itself as well. |

I mean having the warning on his record could maybe get him a delay on a 4473, but he'll still be able to buy guns. International travel might get a bit dicey, though. On second thought OP, you should hire a lawyer to represent you and make sure this is expunged from your record. |

In context and/or out of context, a moderator would not be able to tell if you were being serious or not. There are a lot of trolls and drunkards on General Discussion. |

Everyone gets a hearing and generally more than a second chance. But the aggreived party has to initiate the discussion before anything will happen. |
