Hey all,
I'm in the market for a new weedwacker, and I was looking at a model that uses 1lb propane tanks. I thought that might be kind of nice...no oil, no winterizing, etc.. So, does anybody have one? I've read a few reviews, but I'd rather take an arfcommers word for it. Are these things as great as their advertising makes them sound? Any input would be appreciated! |

I'm still trying to figure out the utility of a propane powered wheedwhip..... The gas ones still work and are cheap, the electric ones work and are still cheap..... If it's the "maintenance" that kills you on the idea of a gas powered, consider that "winterizing" involves running it out of gas, pulling the spark plug, and putting a few drops of motor oil in it then a few yanks on the starter. If we are talking about a 4 cycle weedwhacker, they require even less, just run them out of gas. Can anyone think of a reason these propane powered things were ever made? |
