Okay, went to install a new Win 7 full home prem. 64 bit. I have Win XP pro on there now. I was expecting Win 7 to reformat, reset partition, etc. All it did was just install over XP and force all the old files to someplace else. Is this normal? Do I just need to the command prompt and format the drive from there?
I want to do a clean install. I had some trojan that nothing could get rid of. Thanks. |

It's not actually called new install. It's called custom install. Then when it comes to the drive selection screen you must click Advanced and play with your partitions. Ah, okay, that sounds like my problem there, it seemed like the other option was better. I will give it a try again, thanks. |

Just tried that and it is not giving me that as an option, looks like I will have to go to the command prompt and format from there, weird. |
