I'm so damn happy.

Finished my retaining wall this week and got some dirt piled up in front of it.  Took my first shots today.  Just my wife's .38 with a Crimson Trace grip, but it's the first time I've ever taken shots on my own property.

The receiving end is almost done, just need more dirt.  Like to get the pile 6ft high and 6ft deep.  It's only about 4 foot now.

Cleared out a lane 100yds long.  I tried to minimize the number of trees I dropped, but I will clear the lane about 30ft wide, around any standing trees.  Plan to plant it in clover or something that will attract and hold deer.

Next I start on the shooting end.  Will end up with a covered bench of some sort.

soon i'll eventually have. Hard work and determination, this is America anything can happen.....unless BHO stays in office. I wonder what it's going to be like when Bush's tax cuts are up.

I plan on using tires stacked on poles and filled with dirt.  I like the retention wall.  Maybe I will build something like that behind the tire stacks and then backfill the whole thing.

ETA:  My wife is pissed because we bought the property 3 years ago and so far I have only built part of a range and a treehouse.  Maybe next year she will get her house.
