Cool, now, it is time to convert.

We will send the missionaries over ASAP.  Please be at home and ready for the baptism.

Cheers

No thank you, I was raised Mormon and respect them, but its not for me.  In fact I'm the only person in my extended family that isnt active in the church.

Enjoy your stay

My house is just 5 minutes outside of the canyon on the American Fork side.  The north side of Timp is sure beautiful.

Welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay in the state.  If you're staying for very long let me know and maybe we can get together this weekend.

The Mormons have a state?

I thought that whole Deseret thing never got off the drawing board.

Well, a good majority of Utah is populated by Mormons (or more predominantly, jack Mormons ); nearly every person in our politics is LDS, so one could say it is a Mormon state.

Oh it got off the drawing board out west, it just got trashed back in Washington DC.

Instead a senator back east came up with the name "Utah", for the Ute indians.  Interestingly, the translation means "people of the mountains".  So hello from "the people of the mountains."

I can't wait to take my older kids up the tram at Sundance as Autumn hits with all the beautiful fall colors.  I did it a couple of years ago with my son and was awe-struck by the beauty.

And here I was thinking he was in Texas, where I (a Mormon) live...

I've always wanted to see Utah.  Someday.  Temple Square at Christmas is something I really want to see.  And of course, I would love to go to a session of General Conference there as well!

Utah.  Raised in a Mormon church here, now I am a heathen non-believer.  To give the Mormons credit though I find them far less revolting than the local variety Baptist or JHs.

I can respect religious folks who keep to themselves, also to their credit (at least at the time) I never saw anyone told who to vote for.

Even the Mormons don't mind if you come back.  When I say Mormons of course, I mean me.  More gun-toting folks are welcome.  Heck, if we could push the hippies out of Austin the state would be normal again.

Oops, I didn't see that it could be meant as an invite to Texas, I meant more as an invite to the Church.  But either way, I guess both would work, my wife would love another friend out here.
