Why is the government doing nothing to stop illegal immigration at all? I mean seriously the laws are there but they don't enforce them. They can't pick and choose what laws they enforce. If they don't secure the border as they are suppose to then I should be allowed to ignore laws if I feel like it as well. What is everyone's thoughts about this issue?

First, get rid of the welfare state.

Then let anyone in who wants to work.

They pay taxes like us, but will never vote unless they become citizens.
They have civil liberties, but not civil rights, if you understand the distinction.

For many years Congress set up a percentage system where immigration was allowed based on percentages. Our country did not have an open border as is evident with Mexico. Much can be learned from Australia on immigration.
