| Hero, jackass, good guy, asshole? what's your opinion on him? |
|
I saw his police interrogation on TV, and he was one whiny crybaby, gasping and melting in tears. Later of course he became a badass folk hero, made the white supremacist convention circuits out in the boonies, etc, etc, acting the swaggering tough guy. It's not good for geeky electronic technicians to become vigilante gunslingers in NYC and then seek out like minded companions. Frankengeek. ![]() |

I just watched a show about him on A&E. One of the retards he shot got outta prison last month. One thing i was happy to hear was that he's never paid a penny of the 43 million to the thug that caught a bullet in the spine. |

Even though all the thugs were good, upstanding citizens that helped the elderly carry groceries, and volunteered at the local soup kitchen. At least maybe according to their mama's. |
| I think this guy displays classic Asperger syndrome and that is a form of high functioning Autism. These kids grow up geeky and get pushed around all the time because some kids are assholes. In 4th and 5th grade I came to the defense of a few of these kids and had to put a real hurt on some Catholic school boys. Better me than the priest. Mr. Goetz demonstrated why NY would be better if people could defend themselves. This does not go down well with the ruling class who reserve all power to themselves and the state. Lastly, never forget the power of keeping your mouth shut so the lawyer can cover your ass. Things would be better for him if he asked for a lawyer first up. |

He's now a vegetarian "squirrel rescuerer"
I don't know why no one ever collected on those judgments, if he had a job they could have garnished his wages. It's not like he ran off to Canada to avoid the judgments. homey don't play that! they want outta pocket paper! |

My understanding is that he's a regular guy who had the foresight to anticipate the threat and the fortitude to do something about it. Whatever else may have happened he avoided becoming another statistic. The show on A&E was the one with Shatner right? Aye, that it is. |

He filed bankruptcy shortly after the judgment, I don't know if that gets you out of settlements like that. He did say he lost his business over it and that now he's "buying and selling electronics on the internet" iirc. |

Should have kept his mouth shut, IMHO.
If you're going to talk to your assailant while shooting, you should be screaming "STOP HURTING ME!!! STOP HURTING ME!!! STOP IT, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!..." EYE witnesses are rarely accurate, but they ALWAYS remember what they heard. If they heard you begging for mercy (even while pumping your assailant full of 230g's), that is what they will report to LEO's and, most importantly, to the jury. |
