Any cop dramas? The Wire is the best that I have seen so far.

Southland is pretty good.

The Shield was great.

Reno 911 is the most realistic.

occasionally, I'll catch an episode of Law a Order: SVU, and it's pretty good, but I don't watch much drama.

I have been a cop for 15 years so I tend to not watch cop shows. Last one that I watched with any kind of frequency was The Wire and only reason I watched that was because I was in a special unit that was almost exactly what they were doing on the show.

Cant remember the last time I actually watched an episode of COPS.

None. Shows that feature fourth amendment violations and portray it as acceptable hold no appeal for me.

Watch COPS once in a while.
I can watch a show from 1991 and another from 2009. The same shirtless dirtbag is STILL on there.

COPS is always fun.  The last time I watched there was some guy who got busted for picking up a prostitute.

The look on his face when the cop informed him the hooker was a tranny was priceless.

Yep.  The truism of COPS.  If a guy ain't wearing a shirt, he's going for a ride.

I hate, however, how they treat guns.  Everytime a guy has one or one is found, they go on for ever to the camera.  "See he was armed.  It's dangerous out here but that's why we are here, etc, etc,".  I love when they find one during a car search.  Everyone bolts away like it's a pipe bomb or something.

Disturbing part is that many times this is in cities/states that still enjoy their gun rights.  I would love, just ONCE a cop tell the camera, "Guns are legal, but not if you are a felon.  This guy broke the law." (since 99% of the preps are repeats, ex-cons, etc)
