| Anyone know a free site that is actually free to check out the criminal records of people? I have some people of interest who have been asking me about buying guns and ammo and Im pretty certain that they are felons. |
| If you are uncertain you need to not pursue a sale without having them present something like a CCW at least or offer to pay for an FFL transfer of the firearm. If he/she goes off and commits a crime with that firearm, they come after you after getting your name and you say you were skeptical of their legal status then you're in deep shit. |

Well i'm not making any kind of sale to them until I find out if I can. But I have a feeling said individuals are prohibited from owning. |

If you think their might be a possibility of it not being a good idea to sell to them, then why risk it? |
| courts.wa.gov............ It doesnt show conviction but shows every time theve been to court and case number. You can find out the status with the case number because its public info. If they give you any shit about why your asking tell them what they are trying to buy and they will tell you. Saved my ass once. Guy had 3 Felonys one was a violent "robbery 2nd". There are pleny of legal people looking to buy. I would hold out, your guts always right. |

Are you sure he really did, or was it someone else with a close name? Those court search sites like the one WA has are a complete joke. If you search my name, you'll see dozens of felonies. Of course none of them are mine. I've never even been arrested or even received a traffic ticket. Washington Arms Collectors uses the same crappy system so I can't become a member and buy at gun shows. People like you are as bad as the anti-gunners. You knowingly use bad information to punish innocent gun owners. |

Look at your local courts and see what they offer. Most are going on-line now and you can look up case info along with conviction status. The courts are showing the cases, but not the conviction status. At least one domestic violence case too. How much more do you need? You gonna arm a guy with a de facto "Indicted, Sure. . . But Never Convicted" tattoo? |

Quoted: Quoted: publicdata.com $30 a year. 600 searches I gotta remember that. Last time I ran a check I paid $40 for a one time check. This is one thing that keeps me from signing up - not being able to cancel automatic billing without an immediate cancellation: All PublicData accounts are automatically or recurrently invoiced and billed (either monthly or annually). All charges made at PublicData are not refundable. To terminate the automatically recurring billing process, cancel the account (this is an option clickable from the PublicData home page). |
