I bought a Denon receiver today and I am trying to get all of this shit to work. I've got:
Time Warner DVR box with an HDMI going into one of the HDMI ports in the receiver Sony DVD Player (NO PS3 yet!) with an HDMI going into another HDMI The receiver has an HDMI OUT. I have that HDMI ran to my TV on the HDMI1 input The TV is a Vizio LCD and is a few years old. The problem is: I can get audio through my two front channels through the speakers BUT I am NOT getting any audio through my TV. WTF!? Am I supposed to run all of the HDMI's INTO the receiver and nothing out FROM the receiver? |
You want to run the TV out to HDMI in on receiver.The receiver does not put any thing out to TV.Also check TV for settings for audio so you can turn speakers on TV to on or off.Not really enough info ,but I hope this helps. Edit -DVR box to TV ,TV out to receiver I think.
