What is the point in daylight savings time again? I'm sure that there is some good reason but I can't think of it right now...maybe I should get some sleep...any help?

Here in Phoenix, AZ we NEVER change time ahead or back. Pretty strange, huh?

Just pulled this off that website posted above:

"Daylight Saving Time, for the U.S. and its territories, is NOT observed in Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, the Eastern Time Zone portion of the State of Indiana, and the state of Arizona (not the Navajo Indian Reservation, which does observe). Navajo Nation participates in the Daylight Saving Time policy, due to its large size and location in three states."

Well I like it, glad we have it.

I remember back in the early 70s Nixon changed it to 2 hrs. for a year.

I wish we didn't have it. I think it increases the accident rate as all the commuters try to change their car clocks on Monday.

I refuse to recognize such ridiculous and useless temporal adjustments.

Imbroglio got tired of adjusting the timing on the cylinder of his .38 speshul.

I'll tell you, here in western Washington it is a big help. The days during the winter are much shorter, and the extra hour of daylight in the evening we get during daylight savings time really helps.

It signals the end of the suicide season. [;)]

Cheers,
Chris

I don't mind the time change but it gets expensive having to buy new clocks twice a year.  Not to mention the VCR and stereo and clock radios etc.  Of course the worst is having to trade in the car with the fancy radio clock every six months.
