The radiator in my car has had a leak for awhile and my heater core cracked a tank a few weeks ago so I decided to replace them both.  Tonight, I swapped out my radiator in about an hour, complete with a flush of the system.  I've never had work go smoothly and without problems.  Even more worrisome, I didn't bust a single knuckle or slice a finger open.

This can only mean that the heater core is going to have me inventing words to vent my frustration.  Right now I've got the heater core bypassed so I may wait a few weeks so that the evil spirits leave the car before I start that project.

If you wait too long the spirits from the car will follow you around and torment you in every other way possible.

Don't tempt them.

What kind of car?  Some are an absolute pain, 25 plus shop hours.  Some are a relative breeze.  The heater core is never the complicated thing, its all the crap you have to take out of the way to get to it.

Yes, it's always scary when a project goes "too well".  Assuredly, there is something about to go bad, very bad.

I pick "Transmission dropping it's guts" for $1,000, Alex.

what type of auto are we talking about, you may be better off to remove the radiator cap and drive a new car under it

Its a 1989 Cutless Ciera.  Granted, its only 8 bolts and 4 hoses but I've had harder times trying to install a stereo.

Sometime if you get the chance visit an automotive plant.  If you follow the assembly line back all the way to the very beginning, you see it all starts with them placing a heater core on the conveyor and then the entire rest of the car gets built around it.  That should give you an idea of the difficulty you're about to undertake.
