I've got a few bumps I believe are warts. Anyone have any methods on removing a wart? What about store stuff that you've found to work well against warts? They don't hurt... they're just annoying. Anyone? Anyone? |

Quoted: Well, this one in particular (on my left hand middle finger... on the right side of it) I've had for as long as I can remember. I've had two more appear over the last year and neither have gone away. I'm not entirely sure they're warts but they look a whole bunch like the flat variety. |

i had a plantar wart on the bottom of my left heel that the store freezy stuff would not touch. i read about the duct tape thing, and gave it a shot. i'd leave the duct tape on a couple of days, peel it off, and cut away that dead skin with an exacto knife as suggested. repeat as required. it took about 2-3 weeks of this process to get it all (it came back the first time because I did not go deep enough). fairly painless this way too, and no blood.

Quoted: Turn a can of compressed air upside down and hose away. This basically what I did but with actual electronics freezer spray. I poked a hole in some tape. Put it right over the wart and covered the exposed skin around it. I sprayed it until it was basically frozen. It did sting a bit but 4 days later it fell off. |

You vote it out of office. Win... Really? Duct tape? Just wrap that bitch up for a week or what? For the one on my arm, I just put a small piece of DT on it for a couple day's, changing it out when necessary. I'd say about a week later, the wart fell off and hasn't been seen since. It worked for my son on a wart he had on one of his fingers a couple years ago also. Good luck. Merlin |

I went to the doc, he cut them, froze them, and they were gone for good. Obviously the liquid nitrogen sprayer they have is better than the "DIY" kits at the drugstore, but they were all gone and forgotten in a matter of days. |

Quoted: Freeze it (using one of the kits from the wart removal aisle) and then Compound W it for several weeks. Kharn This. If possible, also cover the area with a small patch of duct tape (not a joke). The little freeze kits at the pharmacy (no RX required) are great if you read the instructions and do it properly. THey will speed up the process a bunch over just using a Compound W preparation alone. This has worked on a plantar wart as well as a couple on the back of the hand. |

They are caused by a virus and can be spread. Good idea to treat them. |
| Had one on the inside of my foot back way back in the day. Tried the over the counter liquid stuff, didn't work too well. Went to the doctor's office and they burned it off. Nothing like the smell of your own flesh. Healed up pretty quick after that though, pretty surprising. |
| Went to an MD once for warts on my hands. He burned a couple off w/o any novocaine and it cost me $$$ due to high insurance deductable. I figured I could do it myself a lot cheaper so the last three were done with rubbing alcohol for the exterior, tequilia for the interior, and a new fine point soldering iron. It worked fine for me, your results may vary. |

I had a "seed wart" on the ring finger of my left hand as a kid. It was so fun to play with I hated to see it go. Once I started noticing girls it was time to get rid of it. I did weeks of Compound W and that finally got it to stay away. I'd guess the freeze thing would speed things up greatly. |
| I had a couple frozen off as a kid on the underside of a toe. I got a plantar type on the ball of my foot just after college. I rocked the compound W and kept debriding the dead stuff aggressively with a scalpel. Eventually dug the root out with a bit off blood after a couple of weeks. Never came back. |
