I had a shitty day and am currently drinking svedka vodka after being called into work for two whole hours
Don't get me wrong, I am only drinking because my body bought me the fancy shit. I don't use it as a crutch |

I just had a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. some sort of micro brew? The king of gas station beers. There are better microbrews out there, but you can buy this stuff pretty much anywhere. I could drink it almost 24/7. is your gas station beer real beer or the watered down stuff? |

It could be alcohol free and I would still drink this. |

Quoted: whats that? A very delicious single malt scotch. Although I just remembered that it was a 15-year French Oak Reserve, not the 12-year. I'm gonna purchase a bottle of the 21 year stuff soon, if not tomorrow, as a gift for two good friends of mine who are getting married. About ~$139.00 at the local liquor store down the street. The 25 year stuff is three something and change if I remember correctly. Why is good drink so expensive? Oh well I still have 4 bottles of scotch left. ![]() ![]() |

is it worth is? does the older stuff give you fringe benefits or what? |

As a whisky ages, the cask will impart flavors (and color) to the drink. When whisky is fresh out of the still, it is translucent, like vodka, for example. In an aged whisky, the color is darker, and the flavor is... more concentrated, if not different (either subtly or outright). There are many variables that affect the taste of whisky such as the ingredients the mash is made from, the water source, the wood the cask is made of, ect. Of course taste is subjective, and to some the older stuff might not taste as good to them as the younger stuff. Just means more for me. ![]() |
