Guy at work told me he was going to buy an XD 9 compact tonight. The shop quoted him $500, which sounds like a pretty good price. He then told me the shop would 'throw in' a second mag, and the holster, mag carrier and loader for another $50. I thought all the XD series guns came with two mags, mag carrier, loader and holster? Am I wrong? I don't want the guy to get fucked over. EDIT: Just left him a message to hold off until tomorrow until we find out more info on what exactly he is buying. |

I don't know if guns are inherently more expensive in CA, but XD 9 subcompacts are running in the low $400's here. |

What gun shop is this? I recall a similar incident about a year or so ago somewhere in the bay area. The dealer was pulling out the extra mag and then selling it back to the buyer. I believe Springfield Armory was contacted and the extra mag magically appeared back in the box......
I am going to have to do a search to see if I can find the post....... |

The incident I was talking about was Antioch Armory and it occurred about a year ago. The buyer contacted SA, who sent him out another mag. When the buyer went in to pick up his pistol, the store owner made good on the deal by giving him another magazine "For his troubles", so he ended up with a total of three mags....
