[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Jericho (Page 1 of 3)

So after reading an article, the wife suggested we use Netflix to watch the series. Sounded good to me. I've read where ARFCOM suggested it a few times.
Well, we made it to episode 7 before we completely lost interest. The script is so corny and predictable and the acting is really not good. It's just gotten really hard to watch and it doesn't seem very realistic or even plausible. Sure, the major events are, but how people react and a lot of the smaller events are setup more for drama, making it even more corny. What are your thoughts? |

I'll save you some time and strain on your Netflix account: Jericho was actually one of the better network series of the past couple of decades, and arguably the best (certainly in the top 3) that CBS has offered in that time. Just stick to the better movies and "cable" series instead. |

I liked it, but it did get into SHTF-soap-opera territory. I think it was a victim of the network trying to make it appeal to wider audience. I agree. But my contentions were pretty minor. I wish it would have been allowed to stick around longer so the major plot threads could have been tied up satisfactorily. |

DVD only I liked the show, dispite being a little unrealistic, it was still better than 99% of the crap thats on today. Personally, I wanted more Republic of Texas action, but then it got teh cancelled. |

Loved the show. Me and the kids eagerly awaited it every week. Yeah... there was plenty of "corn and cheese" there that bugged me. But overall I still really enjoyed it. I too wish it would have come to a more thorough end and not the hurridly, loose-endy way it did.
And yeah... I too thought Hawkins was "the man". The only guy who ever seemed to know his head from his ass. I liked Jake at first, but he just got to be stupid. |
