Damn, I have something that has those on it. Can't think of what it is....
Aviator ETA, Flight helmets have them. They go on the shell so you can mount visors and visor covers with screws. They protect the shell from the metal screw, but allow the screw to be used. Kind of like a drywall anchor. |

It is a chicago screw. Blade Tech uses them on their gear and they sell replacement kits.
