| I purchased a dvd on Amazon.com and forgot to check out the region that it is in. The dvd i bought is in region 3. Does anyone know if that is playable on a ps3 or laptop? |
| Well as I recall the PS3 <Or at least early versions of it> were region locked. That's why I said it might be a stretch. By all means though try it. If it works let me know so I can break out all my foreign region films and take them on campus next semester to watch during my several hour long breaks between classes. |

Most likely it will not work in either device. PS3 is region locked and your laptop most likely will be using software that is region locked.
The only way to get around it would be to use a program like DVDFab to rip the DVD and then copy it without the region code. |
