Got out a revolver today that I had kind of forgot I had and may be selling, but Im not sure what to ask

This is a LNIB Smith, Nickel Plated in 357. Its 99% condition, has been fired 3 times.

So what would value be on this gun? I cant find any like it for sale anywhere so I need some help, Thanks

(sorry for the crappy cell pics, its all I have right now).

Thats a 686,Stainless not nickel.

That looks like a stainless gun; S&W 686 to be exact.

Model number and the number after the dash, if any, would help, although I'm pretty sure that's a 686.


ETA: Whats the gun say? Be on the left side stamped inside under the forcing cone, well sort of under it anyway.

That is supposed to be the best version of that gun,I have a 586-4 that is sweet,value wise I am not sure,nice gun for sure.

This is just local Dallas, Texas gun show prices, last show I went to I tried to trade for a 686, he had 4 of them at $550 each and only one of them was in new condition. He didn't want to trade or come down on price any, by the time I sold my rifle and walked back he had sold them all, so that's what someone was willing to pay here.

YMMV where ever your located.


ETA: Be even better if you have the box and the small screwdriver and cleaning kit they came with.

686 - stainless

586 - carbon steel (blued or nickle)
