Sup guys. Got a ACOG on my AR it's a 4X with no illumination but I still love it to death. Anyway I've seen a few AR's with a small red dot installed on top of the ACOG. Any idea where to locate one and what exactly would that be called? A secondary optic? I have no idea really. Not sure if multiple companies make one or if it's manufacture specific. Also those of you that actually have this set up on your rifles what are you sighting out to with the ACOG to get a balance between distance targets and up close stuff with the red dot? Does it mount directly to the ACOG itself or do I need a mount? Pro's Con's input? Thanks in advance fellas.

It will depend on which ACOG you have and which red dot you want to use.  Trijicon makes a mount as does Docter optic.  SWFA has them both.
