| Watching it now. Great shoot out scene at the end. Tough guys, I always liked Robert Duvall. |

I like the scatter gun throwing that guy through the wall. Now, now...let's not exaggerate...he was shot through a wall and flung 6ft into another wall...but not thrown through it... In the commentary, Costner says he felt obligated to put the "fanning" scene in because its a Western and he also amped up the gunshot volume to have more of an impact on the audience. Overall, I liked the movie. |

I love Costners high capacity wheel gun in that shhot out. I think it was a 20 shooter, before needing a reload. Other than that great movie I read someplace that they were very careful to avoid that sort of thing, only to have the editors cut the film to make it look like he had a 20 shot sixgun. |

They cut out the part where he switched guns. The "New York Reload" was popular back then. |

First time I watched it, I thought it kind of wierd to see the reloading and "normal capacity" guns emphasized throughout the movie, except for that one scene. |

Very good film. And as has been noted, excellent shoot-out at the end.
Kevin Costner actually did some good acting in this one. You didn't like water world????? Costner does the gunslinger pretty damn good. He played kind of a younger version in Silverado that was great.

Never thought to google every question I had about an obscure movie name reference. I have heard of the flower, but never imagined anyone would name a child that, especially a boy. They do this in Texas? Thanks for the explain. |

Seriously the 2nd best western of all time. Only Unfogiven ranks higher and only because I like Clint better than Kevin.
Although Robert Duvall reminds me of a real man's man in this movie and just about every movie I've ever seen him play in. Best Western movie line ever: "We all got it comin, kid" 2nd best movie line ever, " Not today there not..." Spoon |

Excellent movie. Kevin was actually decen in it. Haha! Only western i've ever heard someone say "Rustle up some grub" in. Great gunfight scenes though. If you're as old as I am, you'd remember EVERY western when you were a kid had someone saying "let's rustle up some grub". |

Great movie. I thought Annette Benning was about gorgeous. Boss Spearman: We come for justice, not vengeance. Now them is two different things. Charley Waite: Not today they ain't. Check out the very young Diane Lane in Lonesome Dove. Man she was hot back then. I'm guessing she was maybe 20 in that movie. |

Already searched images of Diane Lane after watching LD about 4-5 yrs ago for the first time. Had no idea of Unfaithful, just searchedm and I will say she is still gorgeous. |
