Does Israel make their own? Do they have the facilities to build tanks, APC's etc? If not, who do they buy them from? They sure have a lot of them. |

Yes the Merkava is a all Isreali production. And the Maglach series are so heavily reconstructed that you cant recognize that they were originally M48's and M60's They sold the last of their rebuilt Centurions to South Africa- where they are known as Oliphant. And they have made a fantastic APC out of the T54/55. That is the origin of those funny wedge shaped things that are all around the Yasser Arafats office...
