If you look deeper, you see that the networks are not really taking a new "critical tone." This is shallow pandering and wishful thinking to drudge viewers. As the administration drags on, the networks have more to report on, and have to take a TOKEN "critical tone" with the white house. Slick willie is trying to get donors to pay off her failed presidential run. ah no.. them that want the dems and their policies have more money than carter has pills. they will decide who is the best horse to back in the race and back that horse. obama, unlike the klintons, doesnt have a huge machine loyal to him. he got elected because he was the golden boy, not because he had a powerful political machine at his command. he was chosen based on his cache. if he looses that he's done. the klintons on the other hand do have a machine and a place to start that wont go away. that machine wasnt big enough to take down obama when lots of folks decided he was the chosen one, but its big enough to start the process of putting her in casa-blanca in 2012, especially if 2010 turns into an all-out route. and if that happens money wont be a problem. |
