I have an interview in Texas this Friday and they have me flying out at 6am.  Don't arrive in HOU until 11:05 because of connecting flight.
I have to drive 2 hrs to get to the airport + be there 1-2hrs before flight+ 1 Hr to dress and prep.  So wake up say 2am to get there.
Is it wrong to ask them if they can get me a hotel for the night before so I am not a zombie for the interview?

eta: they paid for flight

Given so many delayed flights and the bad weather in Texas during Spring, you should come in the night before.

At the interview, they will likely offer to reimburse you for any expenses.  Every major interview I had was like that, and if it was going well I'd have the hotel receipt handy.  Just don't slurge and they'll likely cover it for you.

Sounds reasonable to ask.

remember, they are trying to impress you too.

I'd ask before I went, if the company won't pay for the hotel for a interviewee, what are they going to do fi you have to travel for work? Make you sleep in your rental car?

I would steer clear of the in room bar, in room pron, and any 'social' services that the hotel offers.
