Some think post counts are a bad idea, others don’t. You’d be surprised at what information you can gleam from just a few numbers. Here’s what I think… 0-5: Troll or Newbie. You’ve got a few more posts before you get found out, one way or another. 5-50: Lurker. Probably been a guest for quite some time. Don’t feel the need to pipe in at every topic (unlike some people… [;)]) 50-100: You finally feel comfortable enough to throw your .02 on topics that interest you. 100-125: You’re a king. Top of the world! Need to be smacked down at the soonest opportunity. (re: my post count) [stick] 125-250: You can fix a bad url in a second. Nickname behind your back is BTT. Never have anything to say but yet somehow are still useful. 250-500: Been here a while. Will buy a beer for a fellow member and they’ll buy you a beer too. Sometimes you even have something relevant to the topic to post. 500-1500: You’re a god. At the top of the AR-15.com food chain. Fellow members worship your every keystroke. No where to go but down. 1500+: You have no life. Cannot function in the real world. Do not remember what sunlight looks like. Basically Gollum with a gun and a computer. |

Quoted: Quoted: P-O-S-T? All this time I thought it was P-O-T-S. No, you can only post via POTS if you don't have cable or DSL.... sorry for the geek joke, folks, I'll leave now. [:D] Plain Old Telephone System for you non-computer nerds - damn I exposed myself. Wait was that a meaningful contribution. =] |

EtH - Look behind the fridge. I lost mine for a while, and found it when I had to pull the fridge out and vacuum... So, where the Hell am I on the chart here? I haven't looked at my post count in a while, but I'm probably due for a good smacking - I'll let my wife know... FFZ |

Additional - with 300+ posts, I'm still looking for someone I should buy a beer for. Hell, I'm still looking for someone who will recognise me! (HINT - I can be found often at Los Altos Rod and Gun Club, wearing an orange vest...) For the return favour - sorry, but I'm not a beer drinker. Most rum drinks go down very well, however... And, I still haven't figured out how to post a URL or edit a post - can ya believe it? FFZ |

Hmm very interesting, and have some truth. during my 250-500 post count, I started organizing shoots in SoCal and yes people have bought me beers and have offered members that are passing thru my area to buy them beers. 500-1000 I believe it was Golgo-13 that nominated me Porn King/God [:D] Hence me moderating the Lodge forum. 1500+ I don't quite agree with this. I get out often. Matter of fact I try to get out and meet as many people as I can from the boards. I was at the Falfiles shoot last weekend. Ahhh sigh, An ATF's agent job is never done. Really tired of writing down these names and serial numbers. [;D] |
