I wear Columbia hiking shorts all the time in the summer (cant stand long shorts) anyways, I just discovered that the small "coin" pocket on the upper right side fits my Sig P238 perfectly like it was made for it. I dont have a holster for it yet so I've been carrying it with the muzzle down, hammer down and 1 in the chamber.
How safe is carrying that way? Bri P.s. Did I tell you guys that the little pistol disappears in these shorts, its amazes me. |

I was thinking of cocking the hammer while I draw. |

I was thinking of cocking the hammer while I draw. Good Luck with that. Try to it practice. It is slower and harder than it seems. The required fine motor skill of cocking a hammer in a shooting scenario isn't favorable to victory. Keep the shorts and invest in some nice long polos or button ups and find a concealable OWB or IWB holster. Keep in mind this is all being said not knowing what size caliber shape a Sig 238 is. Practice your draw (dryfire), Good Luck |
