Meh, squirrel was smart enough to tell that it wasn't a rattle snake. Head alone tells me that the snake is a gopher snake or something akin to a gopher snake. Yeah, Pacific gopher snake. Should note that of all the gopher snakes I have ever caught, only one out of like 10-15 of the damned things hasn't torn me a new one biting the hell out of me. Gopher snakes seem to consistently be some mighty pissed off snakes. Once caught one that was over 6 feet long, that grand-daddy snake was the most pissed off and angry snake I've ever laid hands on. |
