Do zombies show up through night vision, and if so what do they look like?

Zombies that have warmed up in the sun,
glow in NV until they cool off

I'm no expert on NV, but from what I understand, it just magnifies light.  So yes, they will.  Infrared on the other hand just shows heat, so they wouldn't show up.

ETA:  I really don't know anything at all about NV, so I could be completely wrong

I knew Arfcom would have answers

That was a stupid question. Only vampires and werewolves don't show up on night vision. And maybe Sasquatch, he's a tricky fucker.

Yes.  They would show up.

Light intensifier? yes.

Thermal? No.

Thermal shows heat levels.  If a Zombie is cold, then it would be a different color then the surrounding area.

So how long does a zombie stay warm after exposure to strong sunlight?

Anyone have a meat thermometer?

unless they are recently zombified.

Wouldn't be cold, though. It'd be room temperature. The exact temp of its surroundings. There is nothing going on in the body that would make it hot or cold.

And has already been answered...a zombie would show up perfectly fine on night vision. Night vision amplifies existing light, it has nothing to do with body heat.

night vision and thermal both yes. if you watch apache thermal gun camera footage, you can still see pretty much everything, live people just glow white, or black, but you can still see other objects that do not give off much heat. trees, rocks, bushes, something moving is even easier.

I've spent quite bit of time at Site Z, and you are incorrect.  Please stop posting random uninformed nonsense in this thread.  I am trying very hard to educate people here.

They show up quite clearly through NV.

I've never had the chance to view a Zed through thermal, however.

Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding!

All it takes is a little thought people, THINK before you ask things.  I'm not saying this was a particularly stupid question, but I am a FIRM believer that there are stupid questions.

That would be infrared vision.
And there is a chance that they could show up on infrared.  Since zombies are rotting, and rotting material usually gives off heat, they should show up.  It would likely be a vary faint infrared signature but if you're paying attention you would likely be able to spot a faint, human-shaped glow.

Night vision just enhances the light, so a zombie would look like a slow, stumbling, rotting person.

Except for the running, fast moving kind.
